What this site is
coinflip.nz is an independent information guide covering CoinFlip's products as they exist in New Zealand: the nationwide bitcoin ATM network, the self-custody wallet app, fees, account verification and promotions. We write for the person standing in front of a kiosk with cash in hand, and for the person deciding whether to be that person at all.
To say it with zero ambiguity: we are not CoinFlip. This is not the official website. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by CoinFlip (GPD Holdings LLC) or coinflip.tech. We operate no ATMs, hold no customer funds, and have no access to any CoinFlip system. When you need official service — transactions, support, account issues — the official site is coinflip.tech and its 24/7 support line.
Why we exist
Crypto kiosks occupy a strange corner of finance: heavily used, barely explained. Official marketing tells you machines are easy; it's quieter about spreads, verification tiers, regulatory risk and the scam patterns that exploit cash-to-crypto rails. Meanwhile, the search results for terms like "coinflip login" or "coinflip promo code" are full of stale coupon farms and outright phishing.
We fill that gap with the resource we wished existed: sourced numbers, worked NZD examples, honest verdicts about when CoinFlip's products are the right tool and when they aren't, and security guidance written by people who have watched every classic self-custody disaster happen to someone.
Our editorial standards
- Sourced facts. Fees, limits and location counts come from the official coinflip.tech site or named third parties, checked on the date in each article's byline.
- Dated claims. This industry rots fast. Every guide carries its last-verified date, and we re-audit when the facts move — the 2025–2026 NZ regulatory process being a live example.
- Both columns filled. Every review carries real cons. If we can't find any, we haven't looked hard enough yet.
- No hype, no price predictions. We cover infrastructure, costs and safety. Whether crypto goes up is not our department.
